Changing the rear fender

If you buy an after market fender like RSD, heartland, or similar fender kit the new struts will bolt directly on to the frame and the struts will bolt right onto the fender. Stock seat will not form fit to it.
Then your on your own with the wiring, lights, signals, plate...Ect. Plus you need to lower the rear if you want it to look good (otherwise it will sit way above the tire leaving a high gap).
I think heartland is the easiest and had the most options to make the other stuff easier, but is also super pricey!
Here's my build thread of my first phase of mods including more details on the fender set up and installation...

So you went with the rsd kit.. Yea I've seen the heartland and I like it and I also imagined and noticed on some builds that the fender was way above the tire. Would definitely need adjustable air ride.. My bike is a 160.. Would the rsd tracker fender kit fit the 160? I'd like to go wider but if I did I would have to start changing swingarm$$$ there is also the lucky sucker kit from custom chrome but I don't know if I like how the fender sits on it's own.. I want smooth lines..a flowing bike.
