Added apes to my Slim last winter. I was a little apprehensive about the mod since I had not even sat on a bike with apes. Apes are the way to go. Much better riding experience; plus the bike looks way cooler. It is a pretty simple mod, definitely worth doing yourself.

I used 12" Khrome Werks handlebars (P/N 300821). The fit and finish of the bar is great. They are both dimpled and drilled for internal wiring.

As for the cables, I spent a little more and went with Magnum Shielding cables. I got all of the cables in their Black Pearl finish.

Clutch - 68 11/16" - P/N 422212HE
Brake - 48" - P/N 46148SW
Throttle - 36 5/8" - P/N 43256
Idle - 36 5/8" - P/N 44256

I kept the stock risers for now which are a 2" rise.

Let me know what you think!

Hey guys. I know this is an older thread but I'm hoping I could resurrect it for a question. I ordered th 14" version of the same bars and was wondering if this same cable setup would work for those. Looks like the clutch and throttle/idle have some slack there. The brake line looks like it would need a bit more. Thanks for the help.
