I have a '99 FXST and I'm a noob to motorcycles. What motor is in my bike

 

80" Evo engine, 5 speed transmission, gasoline (i would hope)

Thanks sarge. When I looked it up the big twin engines it said they changed in 99 between the evo and and twin cam. So I want sure

 

yeah if memory serves, in 1999 Touring models and Dynas got the 88" Twin-Cam, the softails were still running the 80" Evo that year. (Sportsters of course were running the Evo II engines). For the 2000 model year Softails switched over to the 88B's
