Default lifters clacking oil light stays on.

I got a 1997 softtail custom, my oil pressure light stay on and my lifters are clacking. Some advice please!

Tune it and adjust the push rods.....after you check the oil!!!

Check the oil make sure it's tuned up to start with -

You won't get an oil light with even a quart left in the tank. With a dry sump that's all the motor needs at any given time. (The extra 2 1/2 quarts are basically there to further help cool the motor.) So if you've got an oil light, you've probably got an oil pump problem and you can't just "tune it and adjust" what are probably stock, non-adjustable pushrods anyway.) So check the oil and then get it to a tech if thats not the problem.
