No doubt the heartland kit is expensive but the fender attaches to the swingarm, rides really close to the tire, wraps around the tire a lot and has no struts. The battery cover and the seat mount are real nice.
On the negative side the seat shape is not for me at all and to take the seat off to access the fuses, and battery is a time consuming pain. Also You can't even think of sitting on the fender for one second or strapping a bag to it, it's not strong enough.

i agree heartland is ridiculously expensive!!!! but from what ive read is better quality and more ready to go out of the box (plus looks better imo). i chose to pass on them, but i think they look and function awesome!
i have the RSD tracker fender and really like it (a thread of my bike will be up tomorrow if you wanna check it out)... RSD is about $1000+ and will need to be cleaned up before paint, also requires some extra work to do and get it right.
