Default Bolt on Rider Back Rest ??

Hi all.

I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a riders back rest for my 2006 heritage classic with stock factory seat..without the purchase of a new seat. I have been looking without much sucess. HD dealer and other seat manufactuers such as Mustang or Corbin want big bucks for a new seat that already comes with a rider back rest but I really don't want to pay that much when I'm happy with the factory seat for now.I have some back problems and I thought that a B/R would really help out with the support on long hauls.I haven't seen any thing available that can just be bolted on.

Unfortunately I only have dial up internet available where I live and searching the web is a bit slow to say the least. Any help would be much appreciated.

I have a Protac, Its a good product but didn't work for me and my long legs. It pushed me forward just enough that I felt uncomfortable. If I had Highway pegs it would be better I guess.

I'd be willing to sell the one from my Heritage if you want it, I paid $140 for it delivered, but I'd sell it here on the forum for $90 US + whatever it takes to ship to you in Canada.

I'll go dig up a photo..

here's one...

Thanks for the pictures. I too have long legs and no hiway pegs so I would probably have the same problem. I was looking for something with a little lower profile ( lower to the seat ) and maybe with a bracket that pivots so adjustments could be made just like the H.D. and Mustang ones.Something's got to come along sooner or later. Thanks again. In the mean time if anyone has any leads as to another type please let me know.

I called Firehouse customs:

This backrest will not work with my 2003FLSTCI with a stock seat. The seat in this year only has the 100th anniversary logo and is a one piece seat. Their backrest mounts using the factory bolts for holding the rear seat on.

Hopefully no one else has this problem.
