Thanks Ronin99 for the input. I did like the feel of the mini apes but I talked to the service guys and they said I'd need new cables. I went with the Heritage bars which were equally comfortable sitting on the bikes. After installing them tonight (and some friendly fella over tightening my clutch mount allen head which caused it to strip) the clutch cable has a ton of slack but the brake line was a little tough to get it to work. From the looks of it, I could've easily gone with the mini apes but would probably of had to put on a new brake line. The shop told me the bars I had were Fatboy bars. So I have a set if someone needs a set make me an offer. Thanks again for all the input and I'll post back after I take it out for a ride.

I have fat mini apes on my standard and heritage. They are almost exactly the same the stock as stock heritage bars. I switched them to run the cables internally. Great bars.

[/quote] I'm a fan of Harley's mini Z bars as introduced on the 2011 CVO Softail Convertible. I put one on my Breakout and I get a sense that the handling and comfort went up several notches. Well worth the expense!

89speedy, those are some good looking bars. If these give me any issues, I may look into those as well.

Just an update on the bars. I like the Heritage bars but they still have a little angle to them. I think it's more of an unusual feeling than being an issue. I have made a few rides and they feel more comfortable as I ride. So far, no more neck pinch or hands falling asleep. I think the more I ride with them, the more I will like them.

Also in 08 or 09 the shock Heritage bars changed, When I looked a new one back yrs ago, Frist thing I noticed was the placement of my hands on the grips had a lot more angle to them (bent back and down) Which I DIDN'T like at all

So not all the stock Heritage bars are the same,, it depends on what yr bike you order them for or get..

I like the ones on my 07 a lot better than the later version.

With the ones my 07 has their is No angle to my wrist while riding.. they put my wrist in as much of a natural position as I could ask for.

I must have the newer ones. Don't get me wrong they are comfortable, just have a slight angle to them. Nothing like I had before though. My friend has a 2000 and I thought his felt different. There's not a huge difference but a difference.
