Here's my suggestion to people who really want to come to a stopping point:
Plan your mods, and research and cogitate on them for 6 months before pulling the trigger. At the end of that time, you'll probably find that fashions have changed, your taste has changed, or that hardly anyone else will notice or appreciate the changes which you once thought were a big deal.
