It was the last bolt I was using an impact hammer and it started to spin almost immediately

You could drill the head of the bolt and once that is ground off, use a vice grip to remove the stud.

try a metric allen wrench, if that don't work try pounding a torx head socket in there, if that don't work try to slot the head of the bolt with a angle grinder to get a flat screw driver in there and turn it with the screwdriver, if that don't work drill it out and try to grab the stud with a plyers and turn it out or redrill hole and tap it again. good luck.......

Go to the parts store and get an "ease out" that will barely fit the hole that's left. Stick it in, tap it in with a hammer and turn to the left to unscrew. No fuss, no muss, no risk of damaging your primary cover..

You ought to buy a whole set just for occasions like this..

i've broken too many bolts. Since you still have a head on that bolt, I would try to hammer in a flat head screwdriver and get some leverage that way. If that doesn't work, left handed drill bits are your friend
