Default Did I just screw up and order pipes that won't fit my '12 Slim??

So last month I just picked up a bone stock 2012 Slim. After looking around the net, I decided to go with Python Throwbacks for the exhaust. Unfortunately, no one local carries them. So today I hopped on Ebay and ordered a set. Here is where the problem comes in:

First mistake- I did this thru the app on my phone. I searched "Python throwbacks softail slim"

A set popped up and I paid for them. After paying, I noticed the actual full title was "Python Throwbacks 86-11 Softail FLS SLim."
Huh??? 86-11?? SLim's came out in 2012!! Further searching the same company had another auction titled "Python Throwbacks 12-14 Softail FLS Slim."

When I go to the Python website it only lists a single part number for the softail with no specified years.

So are all softail pipes interchangeable? I am aware that 07 and older models don't have o2 plugs and it mentions in the ad those models will need a plug kit to fill the holes.

I'm going to guess the only difference is the O2 sensor size.

The ones you bought likely have 18mm and if you have a 2012-2014 I think you need 12mm.

Not really a big deal, you can always have 12mm O2 bungs welded in the pipe.

If the same seller has the pipes you need, send them a message and ask to swap it out. I doubt they shipped that quick.

Or, you can buy 12mm O2 sensors. Again, not a big deal...

If you install a power commander 5 to tune your bike with the new exhaust you can do as tracker56 stated purchase 12mm sensors and with the power commander 5 you actually plug the o2 sensor connections regardless so they more so act as a filler in the exhaust bung port

... or, if the pipes don't actually come with them, you can just purchase 18mm to 12mm bung adapters. Ballpark $10 fix.

Best and easiest answer right there.
If they have an ebay store they would probably have no issue's making the change.

Thanks for the info! Had no idea the O2 sensor bungs were different sizes. I did get ahold of the shipper and they supposedly got them swapped for the correct set. Either way- now I know I got options to fix it myself. I love Ebay- but I prefer to not buy this kind of stuff online. Seen to many issues in the past. Thanks everyone for the replies!

Ebay is a great site to find deals on but just do your purchasing on your laptop. The ebay phone app does not always show or load the full descriptions of listed products for sale.
