Default engine question

hi i am a new harley owner and have a question about the engine i know stock is a 96 inch but i have 103 on my clutch cover so how do i tell without pulling a head. thanks in advance. oh it is a 2007 fatboy

You might try running the Vin# and see what pops up. It won't be a sure thing but tells you what it started with.

Oh, I forgot welcome to the forum, I too am a new Harley owner. Also if you know the town/Harley shop you think did the work call and ask, I did and it was 2 states away.

I have a stock '07 UGC and it is a 96 CI. 96 was standard in '07.
Easy to buy a 103 clutch cover. Gives you "extra" inches without the engine work,
Possible it was converted to 103 but you'd have to be in contact with the previous owner(s).

you could just put it on a dyno, if it makes numbers that you think are higher than they should be, could be a 103

yes i have thought about it just being a cover replacement. maybe i can find someone with a displacement pump in town.

You would think that where ever or who ever you got it from would know and would have factored that into the selling price.

Dyno it and the proof will come out.
