Fat front wheel/tire on an '07 Night Train
Hey folks,
Sorry for skipping the introduction and possibly posting in the wrong thread, but I'm having some issues and looking for answers.
Can anybody tell me why my local indy shop and Harley dealer claim that I can't put a wider wheel or tire on the front of my '07 FXSTB?
I was hoping to put a 16x3.5 w/ a 150-160mm tire up front.
I see countless bikes on here and my buddy runs a 16x3 w/ a 150mm tire up front with no problems. Actually says it handles better.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
SS

I mounted a 120 series tire on a 21 x 3.25 rim onto my 03 Train. Yes, handling improved tremendously compared to the stock 90 series tire. Purchased the wider rim from Hog Pro which was a direct bolt-on. It's my understanding that the 07's have a unique off-set which must be taken into consideration when mating a rim. Give Hog Pro a call and they can advise you.

A fatboy fender fits right up to FX front ends. At least on mine it does. The custom ones will fit anything as they are undrilled and probably the best bet to get a nice tight fender/tire clearance.
