Whats the best fold up rear floor boards for a 07 Fatty..

I currently have the HD boards, but the drop down bracket puts the boards down too far for the mrs. Shes not real short legged, she has hip issues and the lower boards hurt her hips for some reason.

 

Yeah, they drop down because of the pipes. Maybe fabricate some sort of extension bracket to bring it up? Basically like an A-shaped bracket that resembles the back part of the original bracket.

 

The original bracket is pretty stout and I've looked at it several times pondering trying to modify it. Short of cutting off the mounting snout and taking the drop portion out then rewelding it, I don't see any other way to raise the HD boards. I've looked at other models and only a touring comes close and it won't work.


I've looked at some adjustable aftermarket boards and they just don't look strong enough to support a person stepping up to get on bike.
