Default Backrest/ detach saddlebag question on Fatboy

Hey all, I have a deposit on an '06 Fatboy. This bike is a former rental. It has a rigid backrest, and rigid saddlebags. I was told, I can swap the rigid backrest for the detach version just by buying the datach bracket kit. What options can I perform to convert the rigid bags to detatchable? Thanks! (The dealer gave me a one time 15% discount on accesories, and I don't want to purchase all the wrong stuff.

I have the detachable backrest and Barebacks to detach the saddlebags. Works well.

I have the HD detachable backrest/luggage rack, saddlebags, and hardware.

Everything works great, and 'snaps' on and off within a few seconds.

I have the quick detach backrest. I have the HD hard saddlebags, but on permanent mounts. Personally I like the look of the bike with the bags on it, however love the quick detach feature on the backrest. As I normally have a solo seat w/fender bib on the bike, I only need the backrest when either the OL or one of the ankle biters want to go for a boot. (More like an ankle biter nowadays, as the wife has her own ride now...)

I had an awesome chat with my neighbor, who is a long time 25 year Harley vet/wrench. He advised me to go detatchable on the backrest, and then mod the stock fatboy rigid saddlebags to utilize "Easy Brackets". He favors the Easy Brackets, and will work in conjunction with a factory Harley detachable backrest. So looks like i'm good! Thanks for the help guys!
