...1.5" tank lift on a FLS Slim...

I have the 1.5" kit with the Deluxe option from DK Customs but haven't installed it so, sorry, no pictures...

I was going to throw it on yesterday while I ran to put the bike back together and get out for the first time, but it looks like I'm going to have to extend the breather hose after all - so I left it off for now.

I guess I can at least show you the kit...
With the kit you get a longer tank bolt, then re-use your nut and washers.
The "Deluxe" kit is for raising the rear of the tank to level it back out some.
They give you two of everything in that kit in case you have a split tank.
On the Slim you'll only need one of each.
They said they include a breather hose extension for Dynas, but not Softails, saying that there's enough slack.
While putting my tank back on I saw that mine ran from the front of the tank, down the backbone in the wiring channel, and it was secured in a few spots around the battery compartment with zip ties.
I didn't feel like taking the time to undo all of that just to pull up a couple more inches. Besides, I wanted to get out and ride.
I suppose I could do it later but now I don't know that I want to yank my tank off again just for that. I'll probably just get a longer hose for the tank end...

It's just as well that I didn't do it yesterday since I hadn't taken any decent "before" pictures.
I always try to do that when making changes...
In fact, since it snowed again here last night (gaw-dammit), I may just go ahead and play with it today...

On most bikes, there is plenty of hose to where it does not need to be replaced. Like said earlier, it can be tucked up under the tank, so it might require some cutting of factory zip ties to get the slack you need.
If anyone has questions, please feel free to give us a call at the shop or email me.

It exits the top of the tank, runs forward under the console then winds it's way through the wiring channel on the backbone till it gets to the battery compartment.
The "crossover" is your fuel line under the front of the tank that connects the two halves. It remains there, although you may have to lengthen it to accommodate the lift...
