Thumbs up ...1.5" tank lift on a FLS Slim...

Anyone have a 1.5" tank lift on a FLS Slim?
Close up photos?
Where to find one, part no?
Need to add a longer crossover line?
Any addition comments?

Thanks

I have the 1.5" kit with the Deluxe option from DK Customs but haven't installed it so, sorry, no pictures...

I was going to throw it on yesterday while I ran to put the bike back together and get out for the first time, but it looks like I'm going to have to extend the breather hose after all - so I left it off for now.

I guess I can at least show you the kit...

With the kit you get a longer tank bolt, then re-use your nut and washers.
The "Deluxe" kit is for raising the rear of the tank to level it back out some.
They give you two of everything in that kit in case you have a split tank.
On the Slim you'll only need one of each.

They said they include a breather hose extension for Dynas, but not Softails, saying that there's enough slack.
While putting my tank back on I saw that mine ran from the front of the tank, down the backbone in the wiring channel, and it was secured in a few spots around the battery compartment with zip ties.
I didn't feel like taking the time to undo all of that just to pull up a couple more inches. Besides, I wanted to get out and ride.
I suppose I could do it later but now I don't know that I want to yank my tank off again just for that. I'll probably just get a longer hose for the tank end...

JAM, keep us posted, will you please? I was looking into things yesterday for my overall wish list, and think about 1.5 lift would give me that little adjustment I'd like to see.

I will.
It's just as well that I didn't do it yesterday since I hadn't taken any decent "before" pictures.
I always try to do that when making changes...

In fact, since it snowed again here last night (gaw-dammit), I may just go ahead and play with it today...

On most bikes, there is plenty of hose to where it does not need to be replaced. Like said earlier, it can be tucked up under the tank, so it might require some cutting of factory zip ties to get the slack you need.

If anyone has questions, please feel free to give us a call at the shop or email me.

I got the crossover extension with my 2" kit from DK. Didn't need it though, but it was tight.

What can be tucked under the tank? The crossover? Like re-routed? If so, I want to do that.

My gas tank's breather hose is what's routed under the tank.
It exits the top of the tank, runs forward under the console then winds it's way through the wiring channel on the backbone till it gets to the battery compartment.
The "crossover" is your fuel line under the front of the tank that connects the two halves. It remains there, although you may have to lengthen it to accommodate the lift...
