Drtbag, I have the same color as you. What wheels did you put on? Any chance of a close up pic.

Thank you,
Brent.

I would go with the Stage I first.Mostly to richen up the A/F ratio so the bike will run cooler and of course look and sound better. Make sure if you are putting on new pipes, that they are mounted low enough, so you can install decent size saddle bags (if you ever decide to install saddle bags).

Stage 1 is a fancy was of saying you've got a less restrictive exhaust and a new air cleaner the flows more air along with either a flash to the efi or a PCIII or a SERT to richen up the fuel mixture. You should gain about 10-12 hp and 12-15 ft lbs of torque. Its going to be the cheapest way to gain a decent amount of power over stock. plus as stated above the bike will run cooler which in the long run should make it last longer. These are the first things most people do. It was the first thing that i did really and i was very happy with it all especially after the dyno tune. Its all a matter of preferance really, some of the bagger guys dont get new exhaust because they like the quite side. others get louder pipe and some get obnoxious loud. If your looking for best perfomance in an exhaust pipe, get a 2 into 1 like a thunder header or a V&H pro pipe. if you dont like 2 into 1 then go with an exhaust with a cross over pipe like V&H. I believe that most of if not all of thier pipe have cross overs, then for the least amount of street performance you can get drag pipes. they are supper loud and most of them do not come with heat shields and will turn blue after a little while. Im a big fan of V&H myself. Get yourself a new air cleaner like the SE high flow or the Arlen Ness big sucker or something like that, they all flow more air and will help in a big way for some more power. on my bike i have the SE backer plate with a K&N open element filter with a Harley 88 CI cover. I like the look and got 73HP out of it with my otherwise stock TC88. But when it comes down to it, the pipes you pick are really a personal choice of what you like to look at the best. while you get the best performance gains from a 2 into 1 the differance over a 2 into 2 with a cross over a minimal, maybe 1 hp or so. so pick the stuff you like to look at and youll be just fine. hope this helps you out.

Yea I installed the Harley "Blade custom wheels" Got them just in time. Go figure Harley discontinued them. According to my dealer.
I don't have any close ups but here is what I went off to start my custimization.

Ugly?? Hmm. I have to disagree. They are unique to the Fat Boy.

Gotta be the pipes and a Stage I, then the seat! All the other chrome goodies can be done later! Leave the wheels...they are classic Fat Boy and complete the look!

Welcome to the club...ride safe!

One of the first things you should do is pick up the following....

The HD Parts & Accessories catalog and the J&P Cycle Harley Parts & Accessories catalog.

You can spend days checking out all the neat goodies to buy.

Hey guys. Just got back from a 2 day getaway. My bike should be here in an hour. I am having it delivered. I haven't ridden a bike in years so I didn't want to drive it home. Want to mess with it in my neighborhood first. I like the wheels too!!!! I normally am not into the stock look but I think it shows it is a 2007!! Maybe a few years down the road , but I like the wheels for now.
