I wish but not me....YET! That was supposed to be on my winter mods list this winter but my boy and his G/F has had my 1st Grandbaby, my 1st Grandson and he is only 7 months old AND he just lost his job. FAMILY ALWAYS 1ST, no if's, and's or but's about it. I am sure anxious to see who replies and all the picture's you guy's can post and as many pictures as I can possibly see.

Question Dude: How much stretch did you go with on yours? Also, did you buy another fender, cut that one up and use that and filled in on your stock fender or did you just cut your fender and use any other type of metal to use as the stretch?

Also, how big are you, tall and weight, if you don't mind answering that question that is? Also, do you have air ride and in particular the SS? Last question, would yours drag like if you went over a speed bump in a parking lot? I don't want to lose my stock tin set and this color combo so that means I MIGHT have to buy 2 scrap fenders. I already have a new gas tank so I can keep that stock tin set and set it aside

I will be following this thread very closely.

I've been working on chopping my fender. But I've come to realise that whilst it can look good when the Shotguns are slammed, in order to get any decent ride height out of it (required for terrible British roads), it looks like a dirt bike with the massive gap underneath it. So I've canned that idea for now. I'm thinking of making a swingarm-mounted fender which gets around those problems (but introduces new ones for the ECM and seat mounting).

I digress. I've also looked at stretched options, but as you can imagine, they are pretty much non-existant in the UK. However, I have compiled some links of other threads that had bikes in that I liked the look of, and US retailers that have stretched fenders for sale. So in case it helps anyone, here they are:

Here is mine, work in progress. Trying to decide how to put a tombstone light on it and/or whether or not it will look right.
