Default Breakout fender installed

Fender mounted on the bike. Quick and easy. I'm thinking the black struts and fasteners were the right call on this project.

Cool Front signals installed

I didn’t take pictures of how this part went down… the front signals are another set of Ness chrome in amber. I lowered the front fork tubes down a few inches, located the holes (thanks Sam Q!) and drilled them out so I can run a back-countersink inside the bores. The end result is you end up with a 10/32 machine screw sticking out of the side of the fork where you wanted it. Hopefully… I put a heli-coil inside the threaded 5/16 course Ness signal, loctite, and installed them wet to the upper tree with black RTV. Worked pretty well. I wouldn’t use them for tie downs or anything, but they are solid, and bright!

Default Breakout Air suspension, Open primary all done!

This is her in a nutshell. I just got finished with it on Sunday night. No miles yet, but she fired up for general purpose with no issues. Fuel system, oil system leak free. Engine oil, filter and trans oil changed… Primary tracks perfectly, and the clutch initial adjustment was right on the money. All the brakes are bled and solid. I just need some sunshine. Hahaha!

Seriously, thank you to all the guys who have taken the time to post their work on this site, and ones like it. You guys have made it possible for others to benefit from your projects, ideas and experience. Keep them coming. I hope to see you out there.

Later Brothers and Sisters…
Dan

Default PS...

The belt drive off idle sounds like a freakin' 8-71 roots blower. I love it!

I love what you did with the rear struts btw. I have had that exact idea for a while, but could never find something to replace the lights with. I'm too worried about getting smashed while braking. Those little Ness signals look pretty bright though.

Thanks 24v,
The Ness lights are surprisingly bright, and during braking or signaling, they get twice as bright. I was concerned about the little guys until I powered them up the first time. Not your usual LED's.
What do you think about removing your shorter, LH rear signal and plate, swapping on a RH tail light in its place. They look to be symmetrical along their centerline/mount. i.e. Universal. On the 2013, they even use the same color three wires. Just gotta relocate your plate, and you get lots of choices there. That would look pretty sweet and can be done for the cost of a single tail light assembly. Won't get you a ticket! The stock lights are really nice. I felt bad pulling them.

Chain,
I bet the Blackline has a ride character all its own. That's one of the thing I dig about the HD's... Its a lot more for the rider to each bike than their styling. I don't know how they do it. I'd still keep it. Lol
As for being a poor man, I hear ya. My next purchase for my bike has to wait for payday. Three gallons of gas... Fingers crossed!
