Default Thunderstar Wheels

Fatboys during the EVO era carried 3/4" wheel bearings. That changed in the Twin Cam era to 1". Now I understand that the early Twin Cams could be retrofitted to use 3/4" bearings. The question is can a 2000 Thunderstar wheel be mounted on a 1997 Fatboy if they both have 3/4" bearings and will the sprocket and rotor from the 1997 fit the 2000 wheel?

The difference of change in 2000 is the brake caliper style. Both use 11.5 inch rotor. I say you can you just might have to cut some new spacers and possibly shim a rotor. It might not be necessary at all up front

Evo era sprocket and rotors will not fit on the Twin Cam era wheels. Evo is 2" and Twin cam is 2.25" diameter (appx). You can use them with the Twin Cam era rotors on the front on 1998-99 evos as they have trans driven speedos. The rear gets trickier as you have to find the right size rear pulley to match your belt, etc. Or just change out the pulley, belt set up.

Spacing may also be an issue as 1999 and earlier used tapered Timken bearings and then shims to align the wheels and 2000 and later use sealed bearings.
