p.s. I love that Road Glide...I've got my Road King sold and my eye on a Evo Road Glide....

Thanks Joe, that's truly a compliment. I try to give back, as I've learned extensively from this community over the years.

As for the Road Glide...That's my forever bike. I may end up with another touring bike one day, but it won't be because I traded that one in. And it's even sweeter since I bought it new as a Street Glide, and converted it in winter of 2012.

It's true what they say...no ride like a Road Glide.

Redbeard, that looks awesome!! Great choice in emblems (check my road king).

By the way where did you get the acorn nuts for your mirrors and button screws for your relocated turn signals?

Thanks Joe!

The acorn nut I sourced from Harley. That mirror is actually the mirror from a 2013-14 CVO Road King, so I just grabbed the part number from it.

To be honest, it's not a special size. You could definitely find the appropriate hardware from an Ace Hardware. Not all Ace Hardwares sell chromed parts, but most do. Ace has become my go to place for hardware.

By the way Redbeard, while your air cleaner is off check to make sure your throttle shaft isn't cracked on the left screw....mine was and I guess I went WOT too many times and it broke...when that happens the throttle position sensor which is connected to the left side gets a bad reading and the bike runs poorly. You have to replace the throttle body if it is which isn't a bad job.

That was a sharp looking bike to start with. I can't wait to see what it looks like finished. That gold flake looks spectacular.
