2006 Softail Springer Classic Project/Build

First off, sweet ride, now it truly is a classic with class. First off let me say I'm not real good with the whole world at your finger tip's new Technology. Known about this HD forum for years just not slick enough to work it right, hell I just joined tonight.
Plus I kind of liked my way of researching ****, ride around with the dog on the tank, talk to friends, talk to small shops, talk to dealerships and if I haven't found what I'm looking for and can still remember what it was! I turn on the computer.
I'm currently putting on a Crossbones cat eye dash on my 05 Springer Classic. I keep trying to get to the part where you show the bracket you fabricated. But for some reason can't get pass the first page.
I live in Colorado to, would enjoy the chance to meet, ride, have a beer or walk the dog. I understand you may be to busy too. This Greybeard would really appreciate any info you would care to share.

Here is a photo of my tank bracket used to fit up the Cat's Eye console on my 2006 Springer Classic tank.
Basically, I used a piece of flat aluminum stock that I cut down to size and rounded the edges. From there, you'll need to drill three holes in it - 2 of the holes are used to bolt the bracket on to the tank (I used 1/4-20 bolts) and the third hole is where you'll add a fully threaded bolt/nut that will be used to attach the new console onto the bike (I think this was a 5/16-18 bolt, but you can bring your original console nut to the hardware store to confirm).
Hope this helps!

Thanks ramusus! Glad the thread was helpful.
Unfortunately my original chrome handlebars are long gone! I've never been one to hoard my old parts in storage...
