Default Do I have the "right" clutch?

I'm building a bike. I bought a used clutch. The guy I bought it from said it came off of a 07 softail but later on he said some of the parts I bought came from an 09 softail....so I'm not really sure.

Anyway, I was at the harley dealer yesterday trying to buy a couple missing parts that attach the clutch to the transmission shaft and the parts guy asks me, "Are you sure you have the right clutch?". ...I have no clue...only the word of a guy that I bought the parts from.

The clutch I have appears to match what I'm seeing in my 2008 Softail parts manual/service manual.

So is there any way of telling if i have the "right" clutch?

Thx for the help!

The clutch is the same 07-14 I do believe. The only issue you may have is if the clutch came out of a pre-07 bike and you are trying to use it with an 07 and later transmission.

Thanks for the info! From your comment, it sounds like if I did have a pre-07, I'd have issues with stuff fitting/lining up, etc? So far, my clutch fits on the shaft and everything appears to be in order.
