Oil lines changed to braided?
#1
Has anyone changed there hard line to braided hose on their oil lines to the tank? Curious if so what fittings are needed? On whatever softail models that are the same as my 07 train.
I'd like to some how black them out, wether painting them would be an easier option I don't know. Any one painted theirs? Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks 24v! Greatly appreciated. That gives me an idea on the fittings needed at the engine end. It does look good.....oh and the black push rod tubes, why did I have to look at that! Haha

Hey there. This might sound a little cheesy, but testors model paint is what I used on mine. Covers completely, dries itself to a clean finish without brush marks and has helped up without a wrinkle or chip for the past year. I also did every bolt I could find with the testors paint in the little glass jars or they also make testors paint sticks which match the color and finish of the glass jar paint.
I started just doing a few bolts, but once I realized how well the stuff holds up, I figured it would try it on those oil lines too. Good luck!

I have a friend who owns a parts distributor store and distributes AeroFlow so when I can work out what fittings I'll need, Ill post up. Depending if I get time before the bike goes in the shop to get a new front end next week too, as I'm thinking I might have to pull the lines off to be sure on all the fittings are correct and fit....we will get there
