Anyone know how they measure these? Some of the pics I've seen of the 28 1/2 look shorter than others. Wouldn't want to spend $800. And find out they were to short!!!!!

The difference could be the angle of the picture. The 28.5" extend to the end of the rear fender.

The pictures that Kevin posted above on his b-e-a-utiful two-tone Heritage provides a pretty clear idea of how the 28.5s fit. But I'd have to agree with him, in that I'd go at least the 33s...

I just ordered the 28.5" Samson True Dual Fishtails the other day with the power commander 5 and K&N filter. These pictures are making it REALLY hard for me to be patient on getting this stuff installed.

It sure sucks. I ordered my Samson's on the 6th and still have no clue as to when I'll receive them. Got my fuelpak tuner and air cleaner installed and that made a huge difference so I'm excited to see what the new exhaust will do. I ordered the true dual 42" cholos with removable tips and baffles. I figured go big and no regrets

Also not a Heritage... but here's mine. VH's... the short ones... no fishtails or anything. Clean and classic...

All of these are great looking bikes, now I know I want the duels. I think I'm going to go with the 28 1/2" . I lowered my bike front and back and once a while I scrape the V & H Longshots I have now. Seems I read somewhere that if I went with the V & H Duels I would have trouble with the passenger floorboards fitting. We ride 2up part of the time. Anyone know this for sure?
