What did you do to Your Softail Today?

Cold can be dealt with, roads covered with ice and salt not so much. I wait for the spring rains so the roads are free of debris all the plows leave behind.
All you guys up north and in Canada always bitching you can't ride because it's too cold. Well, I rode three times last week, and I've got two rides this weekend coming up. You know how I did it? I put on a jacket!
What's a little cold? Man up! Just get out and ride. That's what those leather jackets hanging up in your closet are for.

It was a few days ago, but I removed the heel shift lever and added a chrome cap to the shaft.
Since I grew up with toe shift only on many bikes and my first 2 Harleys where toe shift,
the heel-toe on the Heritage took some getting use to... I figured it and dealt with it for a while
but I gotta say, hitting neutral with toe shift only has become much easier! Plus my left foot
now has more room!

They still aren't going to be black.. I'm getting them powdercoated in matte silver. I actually like the look of the original raw aluminum, but the finish had gotten really ugly, as you can see in the pics above. I chose a colour that closely matches the aluminum, and the powdercoat should stand up to the elements long term.
Cheers!
