i installed the 442 w rap and progressive monotube cartridges on my 2014 Heritage and you will love the difference from stock suspension.
I was able to take twisties that I was familiar with 10/15 mph faster. Ya that lead to more scraping LOL

Stick with your Heritage, a couple friends and myself took a 3 day weekender last year, I rode an RK and RG. Put it this way, after a about 150 miles and fuel stop they weren't ready to give my Heritage up. I liked both the touring bikes, but I was ready to get back on mine. I could feel the added weight in maneuvering, but I'm sure I would've become comfortable spending more time on either, the seat was like a brick but then I had mine modified by Mean City Cycles. I did like the fairing upfront on the RG which prompted me to order a Reckless for m bike, it definitely provided more wind protection. All
in all I'll keep my FLSTCI around a few more years.

I have always owned softails. My current 2019 Heritage 114, I truly enjoy this bike especially over my earlier year Heritages. The handling of my 2019 is great, easy to maneuver around in tight spots, suspension much improved. I generally ride back roads of NC and go on 4/5 day trips which include some pretty good twisties.
I’m considering buying a Street Glide . It’s only 100 heavier than the Heritage but some folks say it’s top heavy over the Heritage and handling isn’t as nimble.
I’m 66yrs old with a full hip replacement which is great, no issues .
Soooooo, has anyone owned a Street Glide that can give me comparisons between these two bikes.
I’ve talked to dealers but I know they want to sell bikes. I’m looking for a non bios opinions from street glide owners who also owns or have owned Heritage too.
BIG THANKS
ENJOY THE RIDE

After doing more research than was needed, ordered a set of Metzeler ME888.

Hey MuskRat21! Where did you get that seat? Look's exactly like what I'd like to have!

G'day Capt Salty.
I believe it's a standard 1988 FXST seat. The bike had a Corbin on it and that seat came with it. Much better for my boney ****.
Cheers

Any chance of keeping your Softail AND buying a good used touring bike? That's what I did. I bought a new m8 Softail (love it, but not good for riding 2 very far) AND a good used 14 RK. You'll miss your Softail.

I already sleep with one eye open. IF I come home with another Harley, I’ll be sleeping with both eyes open. LOL
Good suggestion, something to think about.
Nice rides.

Nice rides.
I know the feeling, I have a deluxe and tried to come home with a Road Glide the other day when I went to buy oil for the deluxe... wife said to sign the divorce papers before I buy it lol.

I'd list out what I did to the deluxe over the last 2 days... but it's in my other post here
