This is very similar to other kits. New collars and hardware relocates the angle of the swing arm to lower the bike.
Your spring rates are still the same, just as soft.
The only issue is that you will now have less suspension travel so the likelihood of bottoming out is increased. Riding with a passenger will be a pain "in the ***". Pun intended.

Since the travel has now been reduced, you may need to increase the preload on the springs.
You need a spanner wrench to adjust the preload.

Capt, Seriously, you will not regret that decision, if you do, go all out and get the Monotubes upfront. Complete transformation in the suspension, the ride quality, handling and ability to adjust the preload when riding 2UP, or loaded for for road trips.
