Since I am forced to wait for my new cams, etc...to arrive, I decided to get into my planned top end rebuild early. Good thing too. I found the inner spring on the rear intake valve completely destroyed, and laying in pieces in the lower rocker box! Guess it wasn't the worn out cams preventing her from revving over 5500 RPM!
Cheers!

New tool bag. Had La Rosa change the standard brown straps to black and they did it at no extra charge. I think it looks pretty good. H-D Splitter Windshield arriving today. 18" The Forge sissy bar in the mail as well as a swingarm bag. Should be good to go by the time Sturgis rolls around.

Gave her one hellava bath after getting stuck in the rain last week. Also, I did have her Dynoed a couple weeks back, thought I'd share that too. I know she's no 100HP high performance mill, but with the V&H Straightshots, Arlen Ness Big Sucker and Feulings #7220 kit, she woke up. So much she surprised me the other day when I whacked 2nd gear and the tire broke loose and spun, mudded my shorts a bit because I wasn't expecting it.
Here's the kit I had installed. Just wish I took more pics of the install.

Nice lookin' bike. Not bad if it weren't for the reversion down low from the straightshots. That's what the dip in torque and lean spike followed by the rich dip in you AFR is. I had to get rid of them on my sporty build with Hammer cams. Put the stock head pipes and crossover pipe back on with Khromewerks HP Plus slip ons and way better. They look and sound nice but...
I got rid of the **** poor compensator on my Softail last night and went with the 30 tooth sprocket from evolution industries. Lookout...!

Thanks 60Gunner, I have to say I'm really pleased with the outcome, I wasn't expecting anything like that at all, feels like a completely different bike. I do know I picked up 8 to 9 miles, I was averaging 33 to 34, 36 on a real good day. I just came back from New Hampshire, over 600 miles and was getting 44 to 45.
I don't to much about all the performance stuff, I asked my Indy what could I do you wake her up a little bit, he suggested the Feuling kit, and glad I went with it now. Not sure I'll do anything else.
