I managed to FUBAR my speedo today while trying to repair the trim ring. Lesson of the day: finding a 96 speedo in any sort of acceptable condition is tough. Ended up finding a 99 speedo with close mileage and buying a harness to change from terminal wiring to the 12 pin.

Tell me about it. I got the trim ring on. Started getting the metal nice and folded over the plastic. Was looking great. Flipped the speedo over and the glass cracked. $250 dollar lesson today.
