I powder coat on the side! Check out some things Ive done. These are for my bike as well. Gloss black on misc parts and headlight bucket and alien silver on the belt buckle.

My answer is, you don't. You let the dealership handle the issue under warranty. Let them sort it out.
Thanks for stating an obvious answer, but the problem is that I need the seal removed and the new one reversed, which the dealer most likely won't do. I'm looking for a tool that will pull the seal.

No good answers but that will be a hard seal to remove without splitting the cases. Id like to know what type puller they use.

In the last couple of weeks I've been caught in the rain 4 times, so I cleaned her up, heading out in the morning.

Well, I scoured the internet for any clue as what to use, and found nothing but install tools for the sprocket seal. So I asked my Bro-in-law (ex Harley mechanic) and while he hadn't worked on any of the new (2000 up) bikes, he recommended the Harbor Freight "Seal Puller with 2 Tips" (#35556). So I picked that up along with their #69025 Seal Puller. The 2-tips one was the only one that got in there and pulled the seal out. It's a bit soft steel, but that's ok because it's cheap at $6.99. Now on to making my own install tool.
