I played with the air ride (shotgun shock) switches. Still trying to
get it set where I like it.

Finished my solo conversion, complete with rear fender bib.
Had to remove the saddlebags to get at the backrest bolts which allowed me to do a good clean and polish to the back end.

May as well get rid of the passenger pegs while you're at it.

Been a busy week, installed the chrome fork lower wind deflectors

Then I added some oil monitoring gauges, a dip stick temp gauge, and a oil pressure gauge, I feel a lot more confident with the bike now.

Then for comfort I added a throttle lock,, poor boys cruise control.

then removed the kick shifter, and added a new two shift pad and chrome cover for the shaft.

I just might have the Bitchless Heritage dialed in to suite me by Memorial day, thats the goal anyway's. Now to get on the one up touring trunk mount!! I am starting to get her dialed in the way "I want it"!

While I was at it I put another 430 miles on it this week, I'm already get'n close to a service this season.

Throttle lock thumb lever

Cramp buster
Hey bobster,
I went bitchless too after seeing yours. Okay, so I'm a copycat!
I removed the entire backrest assembly, didn't want the posts sticking up with nothing in them. Pic is a couple threads up.
I also added a thumb lever that clips on to the star-wheel throttle lock for poor mans C/C and a cramp buster palm paddle.

Looking good there YZR, that backrest mount is now going to be the Touring pack mount, I just move a little slower at 64 than I used to.

I just now am getting around to fabricating the mount for the one up,,, and two up,,, Road King touring pack. I am designing it to slip in the 1/2" receivers, and be firmly attached with two stainless steel struts down to the front fender strut bolts, which will be polished to a chrome finish for the one up, the two up will have the polished struts attached to the rear fender strut bolts. Then I am thinking about making a carrier rack for when I have the touring pack off, but that backrest mount will be the base for all three setup's..

the one up mockup,

I plan on using mine "Bitchless" and in "Full Bitch'n Mode" but don't want the trunk on all the time driving daily in short trips. Then this winter their is a good chance I will do a custom paint job,,, Root Beer Metallic with Gold leaf lettering outlined in an orange pin stripe, with those new rims painted in a translucent gold where they are not polished,,,, but the cams heads 2-into-1 exhaust and intake work will come first. This thing just don't slobber to my liking's,,,,

That thumb lock you got, I think it's called a Klever Lever, is the cheapest throttle lock they got and in my opinion the best. It's the only one I ever had that didn't decelerate. I had one on my former sportster that worked great. Unfortunately, my new to me sportster doesn't have the star wheel, so I'm looking for another way.
