What did you do to Your Softail Today?

Just curious. Wouldn't riding at highway speeds in the rain possibly cause the same issues some of you guys are worried about from washing with a hose?
I have always washed my bike with a hose and soapy water. I figure if it can handle riding in downpoars with road grime and what not and never miss a beat then a little wash with a hose and soapy water isn't gonna hurt it one bit... and it never has. Now maybe if you were using a pressure washer there could potentially be some issues to be had but I've also seen may riders here washing their bikes at a normal high-pressure car wash and ride away.
I won't use a pressure washer but soapy water and a hose is not an issue. Especially compared to riding in the rain where water is hitting the bike at high speeds and can possibly be forced into nooks and crannies by the wind. Wash on and keep riding.

Got a new tune license for my Power Vision for Christmas so I installed the Road Rage 3 that I had waiting around for the tune license. It has been snowing so haven't been able to take her out for ride with the Bassani pipes yet but from what I can tell she sounds pretty mean. Nice deep rumble at idle and barks nice and loud. Will post a before and after sound clip once the snow lets up and the roads are clear.

Better Call Geico to send the Lizard and a Tow Truck
Took the old girl out for a ride, weather is in the high 50's and a little windy but perfect for a nice ride on the '87.
A few miles from home the clutch seems to be slipping, then getting worse quick. I tried to nurse her back home but got stopped at a light and that was it.
The motor sounded great but I no go unless I do the Fred Flintstone all the way. Here are some nice pix of me by the side of the road, I ended up in a bus loading zone and of course a bus shows up but he was cool about it.
I used the Geico roadside assistance and I must say it worked very well! I had a flatbed there in maybe 30 minutes and the guy was awesome, knew his stuff and been to my shop many times. If you have to break down it could not have been easier LOL. So easy a cave man could do it. Wait I think wrong company.
After I got to the shop I was pointing out what I thought was a gasket leak at the rocker box that turned out to be more of a gas leak from the gas tank. So I guess we will fix that as well! The Old Girl never stops giving! Haha Happy New Year everyone!

Ordered a set of these for my FXLR, Todd's Cycle 10" Strip. I'll wait until I get 'em bolted to the bike to figure out if or what I'll need as far as wire extensions, brake line and clutch cable. I'd remove the stock bars today but my dealers monthly free breakfast is Saturday and to me eggs and sausage is a national treasure.
