Replaced that sorry excuse for a horn with a pair of Fiamms. Mounted the one on the stock horn bracket and the other on a bracket I bolted on between the belt guard mounting points. BIG improvement.

I put a HD "extra loud" horn in the exact same place under the steering head. Plug and play and also a vast improvement over the little pancake beeper. For twenty-something dollars from my local parts counter an easy fix and now it sounds more like a car, not a kids toy.
That will be my next modification. I agree ...the stock horn is lame ...particularly at highway speeds.
If you have the room, I can recommend the Stebel nautilus airhorn. It is LOUD.
Not sure I'd recommend mounting it in the moving swingarm though.

Hey i noticed the Wards or LJ fans. My bike has the coils where the fans would normally mount. Not sure of your setup. How are they mounted? Had them on my past two (dyna and bagger) and would like them on this 114" heat machine...

I 'hacked' a DKCustoms mount to be able to use the Wards fans & coil in the same location ('13 Slim).
Here's a pic
Hey Mchad , you got a pic of that Harley horn installed or a P/N? And WKNDS ,how exactly did you mount that horn and did you use existing fasteners? Oh and I assume you rerouted the wiring to it. How straight forward of a procedure was that?

1) unplug pancake pos
2) remove the one bolt from back of horn (leave bracket on bike) save nut
3) *I needed to do this on my fatboy* Bend mounting bracket (basically a strip of metal) forward about 1/2"
4) insert new horn into mount
5) install saved nut and tighten (I used a dot of blue loctite)
6) reconnect wires
7) enjoy "honk" vs. "beep"
Not sure if the wires are polarity specific, but if it doesn't work, switch them.
