removed SE air cleaner and football. Installed new S&S teardrop. Love the nostalgic look. easy install, tucks in nice and close. now I just need to figure out what fishtails I want. Also toy with spring or pogo-stick seat. then I take a 5hr ride and she i so comfy!

Well son of a gun, they did provide the screw hole on my FB as well. That's great. I'll have to see if I can find a star screw if I don't like the clamp I fabricated. Thanks!

Went to O'Reilly's to get new T25 and T27 Torx bits cuz mine were all jacked up. Then put Defiance grips on my Low Rider. I usually put on chrome switch covers, switch caps, master cylinder and clutch clamps but I just don't feel like messing with brake bleeding. At least not now.

You are welcome

The only thing you need to fabricate yourself is a little piece of metal / aluminium that you place inside like there was in the earlier models. That is needed because the star-screw presure point on the grip alone is
not good, it could damage the grip after a while.

Normally I replace the star-screws with these levers I make in RVS.

Added a H-D Sport Luggage Rack for HoldFast Sissy Bar Upright - Gloss Black and a LeathersPros TB 3900 Series Trunk Bag to match my LP XL Classic saddle bags.

The LP Trunk Bag is easy on/off, so I will not be riding with it on the bike all the time. but will be nice to have when we do some longer jaunts 2-up. It will hold and lock up both our.helmets while we are away from the bike.

Although not inexpensive, the LP products look good (if you like the old school look) and are very good quality.

I quickly threw this together yesterday and installed it. However I don't like that small, single point of contact with what I believe to be the inner grip sleave so I removed it and left my clamp on. It worked well after I tightened the nut down to keep the lever from turning, and held the grip tightly. But as you mentioned I think damage to the grip would result. Aside from that your lever is a much better fabrication and you can buy some similar to that for about $35. But it too would have that very small contact with the grip that would worry me.

Rode it up to the Historic Richloam Genderal Store. Cool place and we had a nice ride.
