What did you do to Your Softail Today?
#6591
I spent sat morning cleaning her up (summer can't arrive soon enough).
I replaced the fender emblems with the older styled ones (not into the rainbow emblems).
Had to wait for them to come in and then paint them before installing.
I looked into powder coating but the majority of folks I talked to warned me away (heat/melting).
Trying to keep the chrome but personalize her some (reduce the chrome a little).
If the fender would have been void of holes I would have left them blank.
Has anyone seen a Deluxe totally blacked out

LED's did not work out on the sidecar. The reflectors in the sockets did not reflect the light.
So they are going in the 1996 Fatboy. Why not already paid for and I darn sure are not taking them back. Pictures when Grandson and I are done.
Now that the sidecar has been moved to a different bike . The junk Python 2-1 is coming off and my original pipes are going back on.
Rear turn signal 1156 swap ,Results were the same for front 1157's and rear tail light 1157

New pipes!
Last week I installed new-to-me Samson Cannons I got from a friend. They are the old style without any O2 sensor bungs or provisions for baffles. I drilled holes for Paughco universal baffles. I did this along with checking the tensioners and fresh oil for all three holes.
I took it for a ride this past weekend and it runs great. I did have to adjust the idle mixture, but as far as jetting goes, it seems to run good, at least in cold weather. I'll have to see when it the weather gets hot.
My wife took a quick video of me rolling out. I'm loving these pipes!
