Little bummed the whitewall in the rear is thinner than the front, but shinko doesn't make a wide whitewall in 170/70 r16. The picture on Amazon showed it being wider 😕 Received the tires on different days and didn't realize they we different until I got the rear home from being mounted.

The bike looks awesome! I have no idea why Slims haven't always come with WWW's from HD... It look sooo much better with them IMO.

Is a 170 the largest tire that can fit the Slim? If not and a 180 would work, you might get a slightly larger rear WW. Shinkos are hard to beat for the price. I noticed this on my 03 FatBoy too in the rear.

A Metzeler, Avon or Dunlop would have a wider rear WW but a higher price tag of course. Anyway, looks great!

I can not deny that I would have also been bummed with the asymmetrical whitewalls; however, IMO the bike looks great and I couldn't notice the difference [maybe because of the photos].

Default Progressive drop in

Thanks to Mother Nature, I was able to install my progressive drop-ins. The install was pretty smooth except the pinch bolts were a pain in the *** to reach without disassembling the headlight trim. But I was able to drop the front end 2”s. But I think I'll have to disassemble the forks again and have them professionally powder coated instead. Before and after picture.

Thanks. Couldn't agree more. The Slim looks much better with WWW.

The cost wasn't as much a factor as knowing the Shinko 170/70 would fit as a couple of other forum members have mounted them successfully. I still think it looks awesome, but when it's wore out, I'll look at other options. Maybe go with the Heartland 200 kit.

I had other guys tell me the same thing. That was totally by accident I sprayed too many layers of appliance paint. The next day I went out for a ride and that was the outcome. I still think it would look better smooth thanks for your input.

It's Rustoleum appliance epoxy spray paint. It's super hard after it dries.

Received some new shinkos for the breakout. Went from 130/60/21 to 120/70/21 on the front.
