Default Samson 36" Cholo swap

Swapped my Samson 39" cholo's for 36" cholo's. IMO this length is the best looking and symmetrical length for this style muffler. Not too long and not too short.

Love that I am no longer dragging them all over the place even at a modest ride height as I did the 39's. I guess 3" can make a big difference! (TWSS)

The tails on the 39's were about ready to be replaced anyway. Got a nice deal on them on eBay for "seconds" from Samson. Chrome was in great shape.

Auto-tuned them without the stock baffles but with a set of Thunder Monster baffles in the mufflers. Love the sound without the stock baffles but definitely lost some low end compared to running stock baffles and DK Customs Torque inserts on the 39's. Going to try adding the DKs and see how that goes. If no improvement, I'll go back to the previous setup. It's not awful now but noticeably less performance without the stock baffles in place.

Before

After

can still drag them with SS dumped!

MR-Mike, I just like the sound and look of the Thunder Header. I had V&H short shots on it when it was purchased. Those had the go!

Freak Show, I road in the rain the first day with that wheel on, didn't have anything "rooster tail" on me sooooo.... nothing I can't handle.

Pulled the windshield off and rode it into work.

With the wind noise I can barely hear my pipes now.
