Picked her up Saturday and made the 230 mile ride back from the dealer. First Harley and already in love. Full fluid change is first on the todo list.

My dead creek rear lowering kit from Legendary Cycles came in on Friday. Got up Sunday morning and lowered her 1.5". Install was a snap. Took less then an hour and I was goofing around the whole time. Good quality, fast shipping. Then in the afternoon I went for a 50 mile ride. She rides a lot stiffer in the rear, but not bad at all.

The kit was 80 dollars. Really reasonable. You get 2 shoulder nuts with bushings and collars that bolts around the shock shaft. There is a video of a lady doing the install on youtube. It took her less then 30 minutes. Its honestly a 30 minute job but I was piddling around in the garage and organizing tools as I did it.

Do a youtube search for softail lowering kit.

Road it I've only got about a 2 minute ride to work (that's hard to say since I retired) but take the long way home on two lane state and county roads.

i bought my fatboy because i wanted a softer ride, not to make it a stiffer ride. although your bike looks good i'm to old for just cool and prefer being comfortable.
