Upgraded my forks from the bouncy, wallowing, brake diving open bath pogo sticks, to a slick set of Progressive Suspension Monotube cartridge dampers and lowering springs.
Possibly one of the most dramatic improvements I've made to rideability and handling for my Deuce! I guess I didn't realize how much brake dive and uncontrolled wallowing there was up front until it was gone!
Bike feels much more agile now, although that was just a bonus among the other reasons I upgraded.

I have the SS on both my softails, neither of which are "show bikes", (whatever that is - not sure of the agreed to definition of that term).

Anyway, no complaints here. Never had to use their customer service for anything other than my orders and both the 2003 FB and the 2008 DLX ride better than any other bike's I've ever owned.

Would I ride them across the country?, not without cruise control but with it I would in a heartbeat. IMO - SS is a solid product.

Made 1-1/2" risers, and installed a Fly Screen.

I installed a new swing arm and tool bag on my Breakout. Had them custom made in terms of size, color and type of buckle....hand crafted

Put enforcer wheel on the front. Have to change lower legs and bolt on brembo calipers and I'll have dual front brakes

90% chance of rain, so ol girl got a bath/wax and then it cleared up. So I put the heartland fender/struts back on fresh out of powder coating 2 days ago and went riding. What did you do to Your Softail Today?-photo560.jpg

how long you figure it would take to do this swap if turning wrenches is somethinh you do mostly on basic stuff.
I realize it a swap. So it should be pretty straight forward, but with time bein a factor, it might have to wait till winter.

Firmed up preload on shocks (Prog 422's) a half turn. Swapped out bobtail fender for tail dragger fender and then rode it like I stole it.
