Just changed the throttle and idle cables. Idle cable was broken since about last year, throttle snapped this morning when I was about to start to work.
While I was on it I also took some slack out of the clutch cable that I replaced earlier this year.
Now she's growling again and ready to take me down the road (even if it's just to work every day).
My veteran status is on my license so they accepted that. I don't think it's combat but I had that too. I'm sure any dd214 with honorable status will work. They also wanted proof I took a military riders course. Luckily I still had my card!

Good bit of mileage there Freak. How'd the bod hold up?
face is pretty sunburnt and a cut on my nose from a rock that flew out of a dumptruck. it was full of gravel and dirt, so i got a good facial from the dirt as well for about 10 minutes. wias with a pack of 12 bikes so i couldn't exactly just pull over
I bet we know who was driving that dump truck don't we? I was thinking more of how your back held up on the ride. Good to hear the dump truck didn't run you down!
I have a backrest on my Ultimate seat, so no issues there and the seat itself is comfortable. Love riding the FB, it's so well balanced. it's just the roads up there blow. But i did take monday off from work to rest. The nationals always run me down from staying up late.
