Installed a set of Black LED headlight / passing lights.
A change from the Chrome LED's. I think i like these black ones better.

And had a good night out.

Default Billet modular gauge mount system.

I saw an obsolete gauge mount system on e-gay and thought I'd like to install it on my 93 Heritage - not so easy it seems. The brackets themselves are fairly common but the riser top clamp base mount for pre '99 Softails is kind of hard to come by and it ain't cheap. For a part nobody wanted the price sure blows up when people find out they might have something that somebody else wants! But with the patience of an oyster I endeavored to persevere and after about 8 months finally I scored one. When I actually got it in my hand I knew it would be a challange.

When I actually screwed it on to the bike I found it wouldn't work with the windshield so I had to improvise a couple of stand-offs to set the whole affair back a bit. Alas it is on the bike windshield and all. Not too shabby.

Now the really hard part. I already had the Mini Tach so all I need to do is score the almost impossible to find 1.5" Micro Volt gauge and Oil Temp. gauge to fit the small holes. I've come close twice but so far no luck. One guy on another board though he had a volt gauge but turns out he didn't. Another person on here said he has one for sure but I never heard back. So the search continues. In the mean time I'll probably fill the empty holes with a clock and a compass or something.

Default Put my new 117" in the frame

I have spent a lot of hours drinking beer and staring at an empty frame. Just got the motor in and now I'm still drinking beer a and staring at it.
