So after days of trying anything and everything with no results I finally called Vance & Hines about getting my Fuelpak to download and use the maps. After trying the normal stuff my Rep had to go to the engineers. After a few back and forth's with them and sending them some screen shots it turns out I am the first person to bring them the current ECU code. According to them I am the only soft tail to have these and the 2nd bike (a touring model) period. So now I'm just waiting for what hopefully is the last call back as they are writing or programming or whatever engineers do with that data to get me up and running.
Applied Meguiars paint protect on the entire bike. Stuff works Amazing on my car. Should be interesting to see how it does on my new Fatboy with all that Chrome.
Hang in there bro. Shat happens and they'll make it right
Oh no doubt. I'm very pleased with the support and I actually went out and looked at my phone that's connected and there are 20 maps available now including the one I need for my setup. Just waiting for a call back to actually sync to the bike.
Bamjoop, raise your tank front and back, use a really high quLity synth oil and you'll be fine
What I did and makes a huge difference. Probably as confy as those heat deflectors. All they do is trap heat

That's exactly what I was thinking. I would personally rather be a bit hot than torch my engine in the desert heat. One of the reasons(besides looks) that I did the coil was to open up for more airflow. I am not sold on tank raises yet. I would really like to see a slim in person with one to judge how I feel about it.
Also, I use Amsoil synth. I have always been happy in my other bikes with it.
Done and done! 20 maps available most importantly the one that I needed! Couple minutes later it was downloaded and linked to my bike. Big thanks to Shane and everyone else at Vance & Hines who got this taken care of in a few hours!
