What did you do to Your Softail Today?
#2631
Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I need to plug in the trickle charger and go buy at least something small for it. It's been probably almost two years since I've done anything to the poor bike besides ride it.
I do need to fix a cross threaded bolt in the swing arm mount on the frame this winter or spring.
Ha...you posted this several seconds before my post. Deuce you say?

Man, there are some beautiful ST here.
Two weeks ago I bought a 2001 Deuce with 10K, garage kept, perfect paint, (Black, red pins) VH 2into1, re-jetted.
I have returned it to close to stock by the removal of:
Small luggage rack/passenger back pad.
HD windscreen.
HD crash bars.

You might rethink that crash bar... they are awesome if you put your foot down on water and loose your footing, or your kickstand to not be all the way down, or some other foolish thing which would cause you to drop your bike..it happens to the best of riders. The crash guard is great, they keep you from bending your bars and scratching your paint. The bike sits right on them with no damage except your pride if anyone's watching.

I want to get one of these for my Slim; http://www.ronin-cycles.com/product/3
Think it's worth $650.61?
According to the testimonials, sounds better than swapping cams

I've been modding engines for years and years and looking at the stock air cleaner I thought there's no way a little engine like ours is restricted by the stock air cleaner. I wanted proof so I did a thread:

Here's a good dyno test done by DK Customs. 2.5 rwhp, < 1 rwtq gain from an air cleaner on a 103 CI bike. A TC 88 would show even less.

Well...I put my light strip on yesterday, let it set up overnight and kept clothespins on it. With good weather today, I went riding. After 200 miles or so, I looked to see how it was and the right side had broke loose. Yes, I cleaned the fender twice and wiped it down. I'm not happy and I them and told them.

Buy it for looks if you like it, but don't believe the hype about more power.

But....an air cleaner is only 1/3 of the Stage I equation. Here is the same bike, with the same A/C, with exhaust and tune added, equaling a good solid Stage I, giving a bump of 16% in torque! This would not happen just changing the exhaust & tune, it takes the A/C too.
