Default V&H Pipe and tuned:

I finished mounting the original style NOS V&H Pro Pipe I found on this forum. Other photos of welded bungs last page. Then I used the V&H FP-3 to flash the 'puter. Went for a 40 mile ride including to the top of Mt Baldy. Bike runs better than ever. Pulls noticeably harder in the 2500-3000 RPM range. This is a great tune, I have had several big twins Italian and Jap and never had a such great tractability at low speeds in first gear.

Now I have room for saddlebags.

Not at all.

That is an aluminum Moon Eyes Harley Chopper air filter. You can easily find it on their site.

Not exactly bolt on. I cut down the the engine side of the cover about 1/2 inch with a band saw.

Then modified a Joker Machine air filter to mount it. I have a K&N air filter under it.

If you get serous about building one for your bike, Ill take some photos, get the part #s etc.

After installing JDM Astar 2000 H4 LED and the Cree 881 passing lamps, $60 for all 3 shipped/Amazon. I had the chance to ride at night. Very impressed. The forward, close and sides are well lighted. I also installed the Custom Dynamics Magic Strobe CAN brake modulator. It was plug and play and a 5 minute job once the seat is removed. About $60 shipped.
I also received my stock mufflers back from modification at American Custom Exhaust. After installing, found the mid rumble baffles to be the perfect sound I have been seeking. No harsh "crack" on accell and a deep mellow sound at idle and low rpm's and quiet at highway speed. Very happy with the looks and quality of the stock mufflers and now the sound and flexability of the ToneFlex system. As far as the service received from American Custom Exhaust, that is another story for the future. Product=10 Service=1

Default saddlebags mounted

Found some Saddlebags on Craig's. They bolt right on. I have some inserts I still need to fit that will hold the bags shape a bit better. There is plenty of clearance above the pipe, but the bottom of the right bag gets hot. I wonder if I should place some heat shield material on the bag bottom... Opinions?
I think the bike looks more balanced with the Q/R windshield fitted, but it was too nice a day for riding up Mt Baldy without.

Rear shot no one seems to take showing how tight the bags fit to the rear fender...I am very happy with the fit a storage space
