With a motorcycle almost 22 years old, it seems like I'm always doing SOMETHING to it. This week I added 4 f-stops worth of neutral density filter under the "high beam" indicator lamp lens so the LED bulb I put in there last month doesn't blind me at night.

I also replaced the fuel tank vent line, since the battery had chewed a hole in it.

Last, I put on a new pair of Avon "Jackhammer" hand grips.

Just another day in the garage.

A great ride on sierra back roads, scraping beyond the floorboards and unweighting the bike a bit. That particular moment was not so great.

What did I do to my softail today....just installed a BDL 24 tooth compensator sprocket. Kind of wish I would have gone for the 23 but not sure if I could have adjusted the tensioner enough. Anyone get a ticking noise after install upon initial startup? It went away after a few min but it was there.

I have had that happen also. I thought my heart was going to jump out of my chest my pulse got so fast. Time to slow down at that point.

Yeah, riding in the twisties with a friend on a bmw encourages undesirable behavior. Ride safe!
