Today I rebuilt the carb. Had a fuel leak that was leaving a substantial amount of varnishing on the motor. Couldn't tell where is was coming from while on the bike, but best guess said it was the accelerator pump. Took it off and tore it apart this morning, and that's where the leak was. Cleaned it up, replaced all the gaskets and O-rings in the lower half, plus a new pump and spring. Checked the float, reset the mixture screw to where it had been (did you know the IPB for the 2000 Fat Boy carburetor doesn't show the mixture screw?), and had the bike back together before noon. Took it for a ride to the local dealership (25 miles each way) and it didn't skip a beat, as it should be. Was a bit of a cool ride, about 38ish and sunny, but a great ride just the same!

Took it out for a short spin to break it in some more and then cleaned and waxed her up.

Thanks! No plans for gas cap/guage - I like 'em like they are.
I have replaced the stock speedo with a combo tach/speedo that
also has a digital fuel guage built into it, so I hardley ever look
at the analog guage.

I'm still working on some vintage emblems so I'll get a few pics of
those when they're done....

Any idea if they are still available? I searched HD site and ebay for it, but no luck.

Edit: Thanks WKNDS (from next post)! I had to pull out the 2014 Screaming Eagle Catalog. There she was!

Still working on de-chroming. If it's chrome it either goes black or gets brushed.
