What did you do to Your Softail Today?
Changed brake lever angle
Because of the rise of the banana boards, I could only wedge the tip of my boot under the extended brake lever. Couldn't find any better brake lever option available. Buddy of mine cut the sleeve at the weld, rotated the lever to the desired position, and re-welded it. He did a great job. It's PERFECT, now, and no one would even notice the cut/weld unless it was pointed out to them.
Also disassembled/reassembled primary housing to replace leaky seals. No more oil drips. It's an Evo, so that will take some getting used to.

I had my first ride on the Softie since my hip replacement 6 weeks ago. Just around the block a few times to see how I'd fair. Jeez it felt good but a bit sore now.
Then I did the same on the 51 BSA. Good as gold.
I was looking to go to the Casper Rally down at Abercrombie River this w/end, only 70 miles each way and temps around minus 5C.
Looks like it'll be the old girl instead. Bugga!
Cheers

Picked up this 93 softail springer the other day. Needs a little love as it sat for a few years. Edelbrock top end with high compression pistons, cam upgrade (don't have the spec in front of me), dry clutch open primary, PM Brakes, killer looking springer front end and just the right amount of chrome throughout. Just dropped it to the shop this morning to have a good tech go through it and make sure it's all good before I hand it over to my GF. (Orange is her favorite color) I figured with this she will stop stealing my Heritage and we will have a couple nice cruisers in the garage for the bar/brewery runs.
The orange paint has flake in it that does not show up in the picture but sure pops in the sun!
May need to source some original forward controls for her as these are a bit to stretched for her.
Anyone have some they want to part with?
Should be a fun ride.

Added a tachometer from an 03 Road King, simple wiring, just had to get the right pin for the ecm connector, tapped into ign power and ground under the dash. Works great! I'm thinking of leaving the sticker on it but haven't decided fully. Also swapped the handlebar clamp bolts for some stainless studs.
