New tires and front brakes day. Installed new Metzeler ME888s and Lyndall Xtreme pads with a new Lyndall floating "Gemini" rotor up front. I had an original Lug Drive version of the Gemini rotor, but they don't make those anymore, and I couldn't replace the worn out friction disc, so I went with a complete new unit. After going for a short break-in ride, I can say that the front brake feels better than with the Lug Drive rotor. Once the pads bedded in, the grip is better, and zero pulsation. Be interesting to see the difference long-term. I had the Lug Drive rotor for many years, and tens of thousands of miles, so I am very familiar with its performance.

Last year, I couldn't find a 90/90H21 front ME888, so I settled for an 80/90H21. You wouldn't think that 10mm would make much of a difference, but it definitely DOES! Happy to be back on a 90/90H21 front tire.

Cheers!

Two reasons:

1. When my wife rode with me having the bags the (considered) correct way round dug into the back of her legs making riding uncomfortable for her, and

2. I now like them this way

Swapped out my Rinehart slip-ons for a set of Vance and Hines short shots.
Sound incredible, not crazy loud like I read in various reviews, but definitely head turning loud.
The ride is night and day, really unleashes the 103's potential, combined with a Vance and Hines VO2 air cleaner.
Installation really was a cake walk, less than an hour removing parts and prepping, another hour actually installing the pipes.
