I thought that too.... But..

I think if you zoom on the picture, what you believe is the tip of the nail is a rubber "nipple" on the tire...

I just purchased my Crossbones a few weeks ago and today I started making it mine. I added a Vance & Hines VO2 90 Air Cleaner and a black Mustache Engine Guard. You can't really tell from this photo but the previouse owner relocated the headlight to the bottom of the shock and I'm not sure I like the way it looks there. My next job will probably be to move it back up where it belongs. It just looks funny and out of place in that lower position.

That is one hell of a good looking setup. I love everything about your bike and sidecar.

For peace of mind I ordered a tire. It's in for a new rims and brakes so may as well finish it properly.

Well this has been a long journey, parts have been very slow and only to find out what they say will fit comes close but not without modification.
This is the new rim, tire and rear PM 11.8" rotor (stock 11.5"). A little maching is still required for PM caliper to clearance. That's why the axle is on the platform.

Love those old Heritages. Nice job with yours. I went to the gas station the other day and said "give me 15 dollars worth."

2.2 gallons.

get that thing back on the road. I know you're somewhere in southern ontario, waiting to catch you at a set of lights one day...
