What did you do to Your Softail Today?
Per the Tire Industry Association (www.tireindustry.org):
"Puncture repairs are limited to the center of the tread area. If there are punctures or damage in the shoulder or sidewall of the tire, it is not repairable."
Most tire shops will follow this rule.
In the picture, that nail looks like it entered just off the shoulder of the tire, but obviously punctured into the shoulder of the tire...
IMHO..... If possible, I might patch it with an internal plug, and then use a tube in it... but I certainly wouldn't patch it, and run it in a non-tube application...

Took the Heritage on today's lunch hour cruise
Such a comfortable ride
Just remembered, dam beaver launched in front of me, I thought he was gonna be flattened. It was his lucky day. I was ready to bounce like back on the Moto cross track... Hahaha

Was headed out to ride Iron Mountain Rd this morning and about half way there the bike lost power. It died as soon as I pulled the clutch in. I coasted to the side of the road and checked things out.....couldn't find anything obvious. It did not want to start back up until I held the throttle wide open. When it did start it ran fine so I turned around and headed home. No problem all the way back. I cleaned the air cleaner and throttle body and it runs fine.....no CEL and I didn't check for any codes.
Anyone have any ideas/suggestions?
